Senior Industrial Field Sales Engineer

OMI's senior industrial field sales engineer position requires ten years of experience, proven problem-solving abilities and a leadership personality. Individual must be able to present in a professional, knowledgeable fashion that builds customer confidence.

Position will handle technical sales of OMI's odor control products and delivery systems to a variety of markets, including petrochemical, asphalt, municipal, and compost. The individual needs to understand the typical industrial sales cycle, should be competitive, and willing to get dirty to meet the customer's expectations. When dealing with odor control, candidate must be able to accept environments that may be displeasing.

Candidates should have:

  • Bachelor's degree and an understanding of basic electromechanical systems, including airflow, liquid flow and the like.
  • An associate degree with experience and self-determination may be acceptable.
  • Ten years of experience selling consumables and/or capital equipment into process industries including municipal and industrial wastewater, chemical processing, petro-chemical processing and the like.
  • Ten years of successful industrial sales experience.
  • Ability to prepare and present written proposals.
  • Flexibility to travel domestically overnight 50 percent of the time or more.
  • A desire to win and an aversion to losing.
  • Ability to turn cold calls into sales.
  • A familiarity with science and/or engineering disciplines is required.

The position is located in our League City, Texas, (near Houston) sales office.
