Equipment Engineering Technician

OMI is looking for an equipment engineering technician candidate who is familiar with air-handling systems, discrete component control systems, PLCs and industrial controls. Position plans assembly builds and participates in electromechanical system testing and troubleshooting. OMI's equipment engineering technician will perform and document product performance and reliability testing and assist in documenting new assemblies and control systems. Assist customers and sales personnel in the field or through phone support. Verbal and written communication abilities are a must.

Candidates should have:

• Associate degree or better in engineering technology (ASEMET, ASMET or ASEET) or equivalent technical training and experience.
• Experience in product development, design, testing, maintenance, controls and electromechanical systems is highly desirable.
• High electromechanical and mechanical aptitude and a hands-on attitude.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.). AutoCAD experience a plus.
• Knowledge and experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, blowers and motors a plus.
• Ability to perform with moderate supervision and react quickly to business and customer demands.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment.

Position is located in our manufacturing facility in Rising Sun, Ind., (suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio).
